Amy Centanni, CFP®, CIMA®
Amy believes good financial planning should feel more like a conversation and less like a lecture.
As the founder of Beacon Balanced Wealth, Amy helps clients create financial plans that balance both the numerical and emotional sides of money. Her philosophy is that the “best” financial decision is not always just the mathematically optimal one — it’s the one clients can confidently stick with and feel good about long term.
After more than 20 years in the financial industry, Amy has built her career around helping people feel comfortable, informed, and genuinely heard. Clients often say they appreciate how approachable and transparent she is, especially when discussing topics that can otherwise feel intimidating or overwhelming.
Amy began her career in 2005 and later spent several years with Lincoln Retirement Plan Services, where she developed a passion for helping employees better understand their workplace retirement plans and overall financial lives. Over time, watching both the strengths and shortcomings of the industry helped shape her own approach to advising: honest guidance, practical education, and client relationships built on trust.
In 2019, Amy purchased an established advisory practice and began the process of building what would become Beacon Balanced Wealth. Since then, the firm has grown through long-standing client relationships, multigenerational families, and referrals from people who value both thoughtful planning and authentic connection.
Amy holds both the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designations. She is passionate about creating actionable financial plans clients will actually use. Her philosophy: if a financial plan requires its own bookshelf, it’s probably too long.
Outside the office, Amy runs frequently — partly for fitness, partly for sanity, and partly because her running friends are far too competitive to let her skip workouts. She and her husband of 16 years, a Physician Assistant in trauma surgery and Captain in the Air National Guard, are raising their two children in Baton Rouge. Much of Amy’s life outside of work revolves around cheering on her kids’ activities, coaching the FLAIM Run Club, and staying involved at First United Methodist Church.

Joseph Falgoust, CRPC®, CRPS®
Joey believes financial planning works best when clients feel informed, comfortable, and genuinely supported through every stage of life.
Joey is passionate about helping individuals, families, and businesses navigate financial decisions with greater clarity and confidence. He specializes in retirement planning, wealth management, financial planning, and 401(k) plan administration, with a focus on building long-term relationships grounded in trust and honest communication. He believes the best financial relationships are built slowly — through trust, consistency, and honest conversations.
After graduating from LSU with a degree in business management, Joey began his career in the financial services industry with JPMorgan Chase Bank in 2006, where he developed a strong foundation in personal finance and client service. His interest in financial markets and the power of long-term investing eventually led him toward a career focused on helping others build and preserve wealth.
In 2011, Joey joined Lincoln Financial’s Retirement Plan Services division, where he worked closely with retirement plan participants and employers to help individuals better understand their retirement benefits, improve savings strategies, and prepare for retirement with confidence. His years working in retirement education and participant guidance further strengthened his passion for helping clients feel informed and empowered rather than overwhelmed by financial decisions.
In 2022, Joey joined Beacon Balanced Wealth, reuniting with longtime friend and colleague Amy Centanni. Together, they share a client-first philosophy centered around transparency, education, and personalized guidance rather than product sales or one-size-fits-all solutions. Clients and colleagues alike describe Joey as approachable, thoughtful, and genuinely committed to helping others succeed.
Outside of work, Joey enjoys spending time with his wife, Jodi, and their four children. He is a parishioner of St. Aloysius Catholic Church and enjoys golfing, attending LSU sporting events, and spending time with family —wherever the kids’ schedules happen to take them that week.

Jennifer Guilbeau
Jennifer Guilbeau brings nearly three decades of experience, warmth, and unwavering dedication to the Beacon Balanced Wealth team. Since joining Beacon in 2020, she has become a trusted resource for clients and an essential part of the firm’s day-to-day operations.
Jennifer began her career in 1997 with Washington Life Insurance Company before spending the next 20 years with a Lincoln Financial planning practice, where she served as Office Manager and Customer Service Representative. Throughout her career, she has developed extensive expertise in insurance, client service, and office operations, along with a reputation for reliability, compassion, and exceptional follow-through.
Clients know Jennifer as someone who genuinely cares. She has a natural ability to make people feel comfortable, heard, and taken care of, whether she is helping coordinate meetings, answering questions, or assisting with important client service needs. Within the Beacon team, Jennifer is known for two particular superpowers: keeping everyone organized and elevating client service through thoughtful care and attention to detail.
Jennifer lives in Lafayette and regularly commutes to Baton Rouge several days each week to work alongside the Beacon team — a reflection of the value she places on relationships, teamwork, and serving clients well. She has been happily married for more than 33 years and is the proud mother of two adult sons.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys gardening, spending time outdoors, and occasionally creating beautiful custom cakes. Much like the care she gives clients, Jennifer brings thoughtfulness, creativity, and attention to detail into everything she does.
